New Charter Housing Trust moves into its new HQ

New Charter Housing Trust has moved its into its new landmark building, constructed by Williams Tarr in Cavendish Street, Ashton under Lyne. The new headquarters will house under one roof 370 staff from 11 of its sites in Tameside.
The new four storey office building has a number of environmentally friendly features; fresh air will be pumped in through the floor, the windows are heat sensotive and will open and close in accordance with changes in temperature. The drains have been designed to collect rainwater which will then be used to flush the toilets within the building. In addition to office and Boardroom accommodation, there is a learning centre for tenants and a prayer room.
