Our Training Policy
A training matrix is maintained at Head Office and training strategy is regularly reviewed by the Board to bring it into line with new legislation and to highlight cyclic refresher courses for operatives, staff and management.
We also produce an annual rolling training plan in conjunction with Construction Skills (formerly the Construction Industry Training Board.)
All directors, management, technical and admin staff, site managers and operatives receive induction on the company Health & Safety Policy and procedures.
All site management have attended a 5 day CITB site supervisors health and safety course, and attend external and in-house health and safety awareness courses; health & safety update seminars; courses on CDM Regulations, COSHH, etc.
All site managers, nominated admin staff and operatives have had first aid training and hold current First Aid Certificates.

When commencing work on a new site operatives receive an initial on site safety induction and regular “Tool Box” safety talks throughout the duration of the contract.
All key management staff are required to undertake C.P.D. as a condition of their employment. The company arranges for staff to attend lectures and seminars on safety and current legislation matters on a regular basis, provided by organisations such as Construction Skills (formerly the Construction Industry Training Board) of which the company is a member.
All staff are encouraged to further their qualifications and undertake retraining to keep abreast of new technology and developments, legislation etc. within their particular field.
The company wholly funds the cost of further education of employees until they have attained their relevant qualifications, and ongoing training and refresher courses.
