NOV Mono new Production Facility goes live


Williams Tarr have successfully completed a £9 million contract to transform an existing 330,000 sq. ft. industrial shell into a state-of-the–art engineering factory which includes a new 10,000 sq. ft. ancillary office block, welfare facilities, R&D facility with external works, drainage and car parking.

Our Client NOV Mono Pumps the leading manufacturer of specialist pumps for industry, have now commenced production in their new efficient facility under one roof at Chadderton, which replaces their old works in Audenshaw where they operated out of 17 separate buildings!

Over 200 bases were installed for production machines and 10 overhead travelling cranes. Extensive new drainage and over one kilometre of reinforced concrete service ducts were formed in the substructure for services routes. Numerous sumps and pits were created for autoclaves, test tanks, boilers, and other specialised machinery.

The comprehensive M&E design and installations included new high level bus-bar power mains distribution, lighting, fire alarms, new steam boilers, 12 No. high capacity AHU’s, smoke ventilation and smoke curtains. Small power, gas, compressed air, process water, chilled water and steam supplies were provided serve numerous production machines.

The new office block incorporates full welfare facilities for the 300+ production facility operatives, together with an engineering management suite.
